Jayco
Jayco is an American recreation vehicle (RV) manufacturing division of Thor Industries. Its collection of models includes camping trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, motorhomes, travel trailers, and toy haulers.
After developing a trailer fold-down system, Lloyd and Bertha Bontrager founded Jayco in 1968 and began building travel trailers on a farm, selling 132 units in its first year of operation. After Lloyd died during a plane accident in 1985, his chairmen position passed to his wife Bertha, and their son Derald is the current president and CEO of the company.
Currently, Jayco manufactures around 50,000 RVs per year. The company sold its one-millionth model in 2016. Other RV manufacturers that Jayco faces competition from include Camping World, Fleetwood, and Forest River.
