The Buick LaCrosse is a premium midsize sedan model produced by the upscale Buick brand of the General Motors Company. In 2019, GM announced that the LaCrosse, and soon after the Buick Cascada and Buick Regal, would be discontinued in North America. The retirement of the last of its sedan models made the Buick’s catalog exclusively SUV-focused.
The first-generation of the Buick LaCrosse was introduced in 2004 and replaced the Century and Regal models. However, the Regal nameplate would later be revived in 2011. Outside of North America, the LaCrosse was known as the Allure in Canada and the Alpheon in South Korea.
The Buick LaCrosse was in its third generation when General Motors announced its discontinuation. Other models dropped at the time by GM include the Cadillac CTS and XTS, and the Chevrolet Cruze, Impala, and Volt. However, the Buick LaCrosse is still produced and sold in China.
Competitors of the Buick LaCrosse upscale sedan include the Chrysler 300, the Kia Cadenza, the Nissan Maxima, and the Toyota Avalon.

Pros: The Buick LaCrosse premium midsize sedan provides a handsome exterior and interior style, robust and relatively fuel-efficient powertrain options, and plenty of infotainment features.
Cons: Some of the LaCrosse’s best driver-assistance features are offered as wildly expensive add-ons, and it features more blind spots than most sedans in its class.
