Lyriq
The Cadillac Lyriq is an upcoming electric crossover SUV from the Cadillac luxury vehicle division of General Motors (GM). The Lyriq is the third EV model sold by GM (after the Chevy Bolt EV and EUV models) and the first EV model produced and sold by the Cadillac brand.
The Cadillac Lyriq was first teased at the 2019 North American International Auto Show, where Cadillac detailed its plan for a lineup of EVs. The Lyriq was planned to debut in April 2020, with a release before the end of the year. However, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic caused the Lyriq to be delayed significantly.
Now planned for the 2023 model year, the Cadillac Lyriq will be powered by the GM Ultium battery and feature an upgraded Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. The competition of the Lyriq will likely include the Audi e-Tron Sportback, the BMW iX, the Jaguar I-Pace, the Mercedes-Benz EQE, and the Tesla Model X.
