The Kia Sedona is a minivan produced and sold by Kia Motors. Currently, the Sedona is still in production worldwide but is now sold exclusively under the Carnival nameplate.
The first generation of the Kia Sedona was introduced in 1998. Over its generations, the Sedona has been sold under a variety of nameplates. The most prominent among them was the Carnival, but other titles include the Grand Carnival, the Grand Sedona, and the VQ. Additionally, a rebadged version of the Sedona was briefly sold as the Hyundai Entourage for Kia’s sister company.
Since the fourth-generation redesign of the vehicle debuted in 2020, all Sedona models (and other nameplates of the Kia minivan) have taken on the Carnival name worldwide. Although no longer named the Sedona, the minivan’s major competitors still include the Chrysler Pacifica, the Honda Odyssey, and the Toyota Sienna.
