The crown of the Taylor Swift car collection is a super-expensive supercar
Taylor Swift may have some of the most loyal fans of any ultra-famous musician today. And as you might expect, the fan-adored celebrity has the resources to treat herself to some seriously cool cars. In fact, the Taylor Swift car collection has an arguable standout, namely a stunning Ferrari 458 Italia.
Taylor Swift reportedly has a Ferrari 458 Italia in her car collection, a crown in the star’s garage
Taylor Swift is no stranger to some rides. For instance, Swift reportedly has an Audi R8 in her collection. For those of you who don’t remember R8 after its discontinuation last year, this is a mid-engine, V10-powered supercar. It’s serious business. In fact, the earlier V8-powered model was the first flashy car Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark drove in Iron Man.
That, and the Taylor Swift car collection reportedly includes a 997.2 Porsche 911 Turbo. But beyond the iconic Porsche and the Audi supercar, Swift owns a Ferrari that’s almost as attention-grabbing as she is.
Specifically, the ultra-famous pop star reportedly has a Ferrari 458 Italia in her collection. While just about any Ferrari is a noteworthy addition to a car collection, the 458 Italia is a uniquely stunning fixture in the brand’s modern supercar and hypercar lineup.
Instead of more contemporary hybridized platforms, the 458 Italia develops 562 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque from its flat-plane crank, 4.5L V8. Better yet, that peak horsepower arrives at 9,000 RPM. Oh, yes, driving the 458 is an event and it comes with an orchestral backing.
Of course, the now-discontinued Ferrari is comparably obsolete when referenced in the same breath as some of the brand’s higher-performance models, like the LaFerrari and the SF90. However, the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia represented a noteworthy aesthetic and performance improvement over aging models like the Ferrari 360 nameplate.
Frankly, even though the 458 won’t keep pace with modern Ferraris, it’s still very much a car that will arrive where it treads to a volley of smartphone camera flashes and selfies. Not unlike Taylor Swift going anywhere in these days.
