Taylor Swift’s Jet Pollution Is Nothing Compared to Kim Kardashian’s
As we struggle with mushy paper straws, celebrities are using private jets for ridiculous trips just to visit their boo or get a snack. During football season, Taylor Swift’s jet quickly became the subject of memes, but in reality, Kim Kardashian’s pollution is extremely worse.
Kim Kardashian’s private jet is ruining the environment
The regular people in the world are suffering with paper bags and straws as celebrities fill the skies with ridiculous amounts of pollution.
If you thought Taylor Swift was spewing carbon emissions, then you aren’t wrong. But Kim Kardashian’s private jet makes Taylor look green.
Kim Kardashian ranks in second place on the list of the top 10 celebrities with the most private jet carbon emissions in 2023. She took 165 flights, covered 301,428 miles in the air, and dumped 12,913,797 lbs of carbon emissions into the environment.
Travis Scott tops the list with 137 flights, 205,143 miles, and 13,362,879 lbs of CO2 emissions. Elon Musk is in third place with 150 flights, 210,469 miles, and 10,063,441 lbs of CO2 emissions.
While Taylor Swift catches flack for her private yet usage, she doesn’t even crack the top 30. But she did take a 5,000-mile flight from her concert in Tokyo to Las Vegas to catch her boo thang, Travis Kelce, play in the Super Bowl.
In 2023, Taylor Swift covered 178,000 miles in her two private jets and emitted about 2,645,547 lbs of CO2. Most of her flights were shorter, with frequent trips between New York, her concert locations, and Nashville.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian has been taking flights on ridiculous whims. For example, she flew from Las Angeles to Paris just because she wanted a specific cheesecake from Hotel Costes.
Forget using a delivery service to bring other cheesecakes to her home. The chefs in Las Angeles apparently can’t compete.
Passengers on private jets are responsible for about 45 times more than the emissions of commercial flights with the same routes.
But at least Taylor Swift purchased more than double the carbon offsets for her tour traveling.
