We’re so excited that the Tesla Cybertruck is getting some experience on the road. Some people have been waiting for years to see the Telsa Cybertruck in action, and this is proving that the electric pickup truck is still alive.

How long is the Tesla Cybertruck wait?

If the Tesla Cybertruck doesn’t face any more delays, then deliveries could begin in 2023. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hasn’t revealed when the deliveries will start in 2023. What if people are waiting until next summer?

People typically have to be patient when it comes to receiving a brand new vehicle. However, we first saw the truck in 2019. That was years ago! People are getting their Ford Bronco models and Rivian R1T trucks way ahead of the Cybertruck.

The original Tesla Cybertruck keeps hope alive by providing refreshing beverages to workers around the Giga Texas facility. As the truck drives around the campus, people in the bed throw bottles of water and other items to factory workers.

While we could use a drink, at least Tesla workers are happy and hydrated. Also, seeing the Cybertruck in action is like a beacon of hope, proving that the Cybertruck is still alive and on the way.

Is the Cybertruck worth waiting for?

That’s a tricky question because Elon Musk doesn’t even know what the final Tesla Cybertruck model will be like yet. The one delivering drinks is the original model, and according to Inside EVs, a few models have been spotted with updates in California.

Reportedly, Elon Musk and Design Cheif Franz von Holzhausen have been discussing the truck’s design and updates but have failed to deliver product road map updates. Nothing has been revealed.

However, they shared that it will be well worth the long wait at the Cyber Rodeo event. Fool us once, shame on you, Musk. Fool us twice, shame on us. But what if we are fooled a third time after the Cybertruck has already been delayed twice?

We know that the semiconductor chip shortage and other supply chain issues have put many vehicles on hold. But hopefully, these problems won’t cause further disruption to the automotive industry.

How much does the Cybertruck cost?

Currently, the Tesla Cybertruck starts at $39,900. We hope that this price doesn’t change. However, the cost of supplies is rising. Also, this price was set back in 2019. The 2022 Ford Lightning beat the Cybertruck out the gate with an MSRP of $39,974.

The Cybertruck with dual-motor AWD starts at $49,900, and the top-spec tri-motor model with AWD begins at around $69,900. Tesla vehicles no longer qualify for federal tax incentives, and Full Self-Driving can be added for $10,000.

Tesla estimates that the Cybertruck will have up to a 500-mile range with a towing capacity of up to 14,000 lbs. The base model clocks in with a 250-mile range, and the dual-motor setup provides 300 miles of range.

Wild features could still be added. Elson Musk says the Tesla Cybertruck won’t have door handles because it will be able to recognize its person. Plus, the truck can swim and be charged by solar panels.

We can’t say which features will make it to production or when. However, we are excited to see the Cybertruck in action, even if it’s just delivering beverages to thirsty employees.
