The battle between electric vehicles continues as the Tesla Model 3 receives an epic title instead of the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Tesla Model 3 is more satisfying than the Ford Mustang Mach-E, meaning it may make people happier.

According to the J.D. Power U.S. Electric Vehicle Ownership Study, the Tesla Model 3 is more satisfying than the Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Model 3 earned a score of 777 points out of 1,000, and the Mustang Mach-E earned a score of 744 points out of 1,000. So, the Mustang Mach-E isn’t far behind.
This study collects data to benchmark owner satisfaction and discover critical attributes that affect the overall electric vehicle ownership experience with BEV and PHEV vehicles. The study fielded 8,122 electric vehicle owners of 2016-2022 model-year BEV and PHEVs.
They found that range, incentives, quality, and reliability are crucial factors. The study found that 96 percent of BEV owners will purchase another BEV in the future. Over 62 percent of these satisfied owners will purchase from the same brand.
Does the Model 3 or Mustang Mach-E have a better range?
The 2022 Tesla Model 3 has three trim levels that affect the range and acceleration. With the base model, you get 283 hp and 307 lb-ft of torque. This model has an EPA-estimated 272 miles of charge and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds.
If you upgrade to the Tesla Model 3 Long Range model, then you get AWD with an EPA-estimated 358 miles. It provides 346 hp and 389 lb-ft of torque and can reach 60 mph in about 4.2 seconds.
With the Tesla Model 3 Performance trim, you get an EPA-estimated 315-mile range with the ability to reach 60 mph in about 3.1 seconds. This model pumps out 450 hp and 471 lb-ft of torque.
With the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select, which is the base model, you get an EPA-estimated 230 miles of range. This model pumps out 266 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.
You can upgrade to the Premium trim and select the extended-range battery with all-wheel drive for an EPA-estimated 270 miles of range and up to 346 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. The model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.2 seconds. Without AWD, you get up to 300 miles of range.
The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition provides 260 miles of range with 480 hp and 634 lb-ft of torque. It can reach 60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.
Does the Model 3 or Mach-E have better features?
The 2022 Tesla Model 3 and 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E both have luxurious interiors with an elegant, simple, and advanced design. The base models both come with simulated leather seats, but the Model 3 has a standard panoramic glass roof.
You get a 15.5-inch touchscreen in the Mach-E and a 15.0-inch screen in the Model 3. Both vehicles provide a wireless phone charger, but the Mach-E offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Tesla doesn’t include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Tesla Model 3 includes standard automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. These features are available with the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
