Tesla Model S With Over 400,000 Miles On It Shows EV Longevity | MotorBiscuit Original Video
There’s no shortage of debate about the longevity of electric vehicles. However, given the lack of history with mass-production electric cars, there’s not a lot of data. However, this 2015 Tesla Model S with over 424,000 miles on the odometer is a great case study.
The original battery lasted over 250,000 miles and was replaced for free, as older Tesla models came with an unlimited mileage warranty. After 180,000 miles on the current battery, the range drop on a full charge has only sacrificed about 20 miles overall. This is with constant supercharging under its belt, too, as it originally served as a full-time Uber rideshare vehicle.
Some viewers may note that certain portions of the video appear that the car is right-hand drive. However, that is just a slight editing error.
