Teslas are pricey electric vehicles, and they’re getting more expensive. This summer, the electric automaker silently adjusted its prices for the second time this year, raising the starting costs for nearly every Tesla Model. However, Tesla fans can breathe easier knowing these three trims escaped the latest Tesla price hikes unscathed.

Did the Tesla Model 3 Performance go up in price?

If you like your baby Tesla fast, you’ll be glad to hear that the Model 3 Performance managed to escape the price hike. However, the Performance isn’t exactly cheap. A new Model 3 Performance will set buyers back around $62,990. Still, that’s not an absurd amount of money for a four-door car that will reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

Did the Tesla Model S Plaid go up in price?

Fortunately for speed fanatics, the blisteringly quick Tesla Model S Plaid wasn’t included in the automaker’s latest price hikes. That doesn’t mean you’ll get your hands on a Model S Plaid for cheap, though. The Plaid sedan demands a shocking $135,990, but you will get one very impressive car for that amount.

Specifically, the Model S Plaid is one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world; when it is set up properly, the Plaid will rocket from 0-60 mph in just 1.99 seconds. Suddenly, $135,990 for a sedan that will outrun most hypercars seems like a bargain.

Did the Tesla Model X Plaid go up in price?

Like the Tesla Model S Plaid, the Model X Plaid didn’t rise in price. However, just like the S, the Model X Plaid demands a premium price for premium performance. Luxury EV shoppers will have to shell out $138,990 to get their hands on the lumpy SUV (if you can call it an SUV).

Again, the Model X Plaid’s performance makes it near-bargain material. That’s right, even a massive number like $138,990 can constitute a bargain. The 5,000 lbs, four-door EV will sprint to sixty in just 2.3 seconds during favorable conditions. That’s as fast as a record-smashing Bugatti Chiron.

Which Teslas increased in price in 2022?

Unfortunately for the rest of the lineup, Tesla increased the prices of every other model. First, the Model 3 Long Range went up from $54,490 to $57,990. Unfortunately for Model Y shoppers, both the Long Range and Performance increased between $2,000 and $3,000. Furthermore, the Model S Dual Motor AWD Long Range punched well above six figures, from $99,990 to $104,990.

Which Tesla’s price increased the most in 2022?

The Model X Dual Motor AWD Long Range gets the worst of the price bumps. According to Electrek, Tesla shoppers will have to spend an extra $6,000 to get one of these heavy EVs. Specifically, the automaker increased the price tag from $114,990 to $120,990. That’s a substantial increase, given that this is the second time in 2022 that the electric manufacturer raised prices.
