In a surprising move, but one we at MotorBiscuit fully embrace, Tesla is now in the beer business. It will soon be coming out with what is called “Giga Bier.” Tesla just presented its Giga Berlin County Fair event. Tesla founder Elon Musk spoke to the participants and teased Tesla’s new alcoholic Giga Bier. 

“We’re even gonna have a beer-Giga Bier!”

“We’re gonna build a train station that’s right on the property,” said Musk. “And then we’re gonna have graffiti murals all throughout the factory, on the outside and everything. So I think that’s gonna be pretty cool. We’ve got some of them already. And we’re even gonna have a beer.” 

Displayed behind him on the stage were projections of bottles of Giga Bier. As can be seen, the bottles are inspired by the angular Cybertruck. Some are speculating that Giga Bier is the first of what is expected to be many products of “Cybersquad.” 

Cybersquad is a recent trademark filing that was assumed to have been created to market the ATV Cyberquad seen at the introduction of the Cybertruck last November. It has been expected that the Cyberquad would be manufactured at the Cybertruck’s new Texas headquarters. 

From Tesla Short Shorts and tequila to Giga Bier

Musk is known for his love of the Cybertruck concept. The Tesla Short Shorts and other spinoffs align with the Giga Bier. For Musk, almost any beer would work as long as the bottle was inspired by the Cybertruck. 

Now, the question that comes to mind is drinking and driving. Aligning with an alcoholic beverage company seems slightly questionable. It’s that whole drinking and driving thing. But Tesla has done this before.

It once sold a special blend of tequila that has become collectible. Known as “an exclusive, premium 100% de añejo tequila aged in French oak barrels.” Then it goes on to describe that it features a “dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish.”

Can we pick up a six-pack at the Stop and Go?

Now that the Giga Bier has been announced it is expected to be more abundant and less expensive than the tequila. Originally $250, on the secondary market we’ve seen prices well above $1,000 for an unopened bottle. While Tesla no longer sells tequila, you can still buy the decanter for $250. 

No other details have been released. So it is unclear how limited the beer run will be, nor how much it will cost. But the Cybertruck-inspired bottles will make fine additions to any decor should you order a few six-packs and display your empties. 

And we would suggest that for those waiting patiently for their Cybertrucks, that Tesla send a free six-pack to them all. You know, as a gesture for the delivery dates being pushed farther out.
