And it’s not just the cheap price that will surprise you. In fact, for its age and price, the 2013 Chevy Volt may offer surprising value at every turn.

The Chevy Volt made its debut a few years before the 2013 model, so a few improvements had been made. What owners get with the 2013 Chevy Volt’s low price tag

The Chevy Volt is considered an extended-range EV, using two electric motors paired with a lithium-ion battery pack, making a total of 149 hp. It can run for 38 miles on all-electric power and can charge in as little as four hours. The plug-in hybrid is paired to a four-cylinder engine that will start up and recharge the battery pack. Combined, this provides up to “382 miles of driving range between fill-ups.” When in its standard hybrid mode, the Volt earns an impressive EPA-estimated 37 MPG (combined).
