The 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid Gets You a Lot of Gas Mileage for the Money
The Honda Accord is well-known for being a great option for anyone who’s looking for a sedan. However, a used 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid is not only affordable but also very fuel-efficient during these tough economic times. Here’s a look at all the great features that a used 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid will have.
The 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid’s great fuel economy
Since the 2015 Accord Hybrid is only five years old, Consumer Reports wrote that it’ll be far more affordable than a brand-new car while still having many of the features and performance figures that a brand-new car will have. For example, Consumer Reports said that a 2015 Accord hybrid can cost between $12,600 to $17,900. While these prices aren’t extremely cheap, they are very affordable for many customers.
On top of that, thanks to its 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine, the 2015 Accord Hybrid gets 196 hp while also getting 47 MPG on highways and 40 MPG combined. These great fuel economy figures mean that compared to any other car that’s not a Tesla, the Accord Hybrid combines a great fuel economy with a relatively affordable price. Due to its great fuel economy figures, its owners will also end up saving more money in the long run.
Other features in the 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid
While Consumer Reports was especially impressed by the fuel economy that the 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid achieved at its price point, the car overall was great too. For example, Consumer Reports said that the 2015 Accord is “a comfortable, roomy, and efficient midsized sedan.” Plus, Consumer Reports also praised the Accord’s seating positions, which it called “one of the best driving positions available.”
Consumer Reports also praised the performance of the hybrid engine when it’s paired with a CVT. Furthermore, due to some improvements in the Accord’s design, Consumer Reports wrote that the 2015 Accord Hybrid doesn’t suffer from the same road noise issue that its past model years suffered from. However, due to the car’s battery pack, the 2015 Accord Hybrid does lose a bit of cargo space.
Another downside of the 2015 Accord Hybrid is the fact that it doesn’t have as many standard smart safety features as the current Accords do. That said, Honda did offer a lot of smart safety features, such as forward collision warning and lane departure warning, in the 2015 Accord’s premium trims.
Regardless, Consumer Reports said that the 2015 Accord Hybrid was the best used hybrid sedan of that model year. With that said, there are other options if you’re looking for a hybrid that’s a bit different from the Accord.
The other good used hybrids from 2015
The Honda Accord’s main competitor, the Toyota Camry, also had a pretty good hybrid option in 2015. However, the Camry hybrid was a bit less fuel-efficient, as it only got a combined 38 MPG. But, with a price tag that ranges from $12,000 to $15,000, the 2015 Camry Hybrid is a bit more affordable than the 2015 Accord Hybrid is.
The 2015 Lexus ES Hybrid is also a good option, according to Consumer Reports. Despite being a luxury car, the 2015 ES Hybrid only costs between $16,700 and $18,600, and it provides a more luxurious interior than the Accord and the Camry does. That said, it only gets 36 MPG combined, and as a car, Consumer Reports also didn’t enjoy it very much.
The last good used hybrid car from 2015 was the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Consumer Reports liked the MKZ in general, but it doesn’t get as good of a fuel economy as its competitors, as it only achieves 34 MPG combined. Plus, since it’s a Lincoln, the MKZ can be pricey, and it ranges from $13,000 to $19,400 used.
