The 2017 Cadillac CT6 came in very last place when sedans in its class were ranked by reliability. When evaluated on just how reliable the CT6 was on the road, the vehicle received a score of one out of five.

Based off of one of Consumer Report’s latest surveys for the 2017 Cadillac CT6, the data indicated roughly around 17 trouble spots for this particular model. The top two most troubling issues that were reported with the model revolved around the transmission minor and drive system. 

Additionally, the car showed signs of struggle in regards to suspension. Cadillac CT6 owners have even reported flaws at a basic and fundamental level. From squeaks to rattles, the CT6 has been known to demonstrate some questionable behaviors and sounds.

On top of all of this, a recall was issued for the vehicle in June 2018 regarding the safety of children passengers. Taking everything into consideration will hopefully help drivers and consumers in understanding why the sedan received such a shockingly low score in regard to reliability.

It is safe to say the 2017 Cadillac CT6 had a few glitches so to speak, but consumers and drivers are now wondering how this model compares to the 2018-2020 models. The two most problematic areas that were identified in the 2017 CT6 were taken care of, and by the time the 2019 model was released, there were no longer any major problems in relation to the drive system or the transmission minor.

In 2018, the CT6 was still being associated with problems surrounding the in-car electronics, but by the following year, the automaker company was able to get this issue under wraps. 

In the case of the 2017 Cadillac CT6, the car’s impressive features became a moot point in light of the appalling reliability score the model received. The car’s overall reputation suffered as a result. However, as data has shown the public, the impressive vehicle has been able to work on and improve these issues in the later CT6 models.
