There certainly isn’t a shortage of reasons to get excited about buying a Chevy Camaro. Whether you’re interested in an older model classic, or a 2020 Camaro SS, you can expect fun and precision thrills from behind the wheel. But the Chevy Camaro is also known for a characteristic uncommon among sports cars, affordability.

Some of the critics even suggest the 2020 Chevy Camaro is the absolute definition of budget-friendly performance cars. We’ll take a closer look at the Camaro and what makes this supercar both sporty and affordable — the ultimate sports car package.

Fans are fierce about their love of Chevy Camaros

It’s no secret, the Chevy Camaro has long since attracted fans and captivated them for years. Consumers love the aggressive styling and roaring performance of the robust engine. Some, such as CarBuyingStrategies.com, insist more recent models, including the 2019 Camaro, handle better than high-end and higher-priced rivals.

It’s an American muscle car known for its stiff springs, beefy tires for ultimate gripping capability, and tight steering. The latest model years come jam-packed with standard equipment, including mobile device pairing technology and Wi-Fi hot spot systems.

Getting the best of both worlds is easy, especially when you can buy a 2020 Camaro base model for $25,995. MotorTrend recently listed this car as one of its top choices for sport level rides for less.

The base model comes built for the road with a 275 horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It’s not the monstrous V8 version, but it certainly packs a punch and allows the driver to have all the feel of hungry performance on pavement.

Even the 3.6-liter V6 version, available with an optional six-speed manual transmission for more fun, can find itself parked in your garage for less than $30,000. Meaning, for a fraction of the cost of most curve-chomping sports cars, you can experience the heart of a Camaro without breaking the bank.

A look all its own

When it comes down to enjoying a sports car, aside from the engine performance and speed, looks play a significant role in what cars people choose to buy. The Camaro embraces a unique look, not only separating it from the pack of sporty competitors but also winning over the hearts of consumers year after year.

It has the sleek roofline, inciting a feel of speed-loving aerodynamics. It has the iconic and aggressive hood, making it feel like you’re driving a car that’s eager to tackle the road. Whether you decide on the coupe or the convertible, the base engine, or the mighty V8, you’ll look and feel like you’re at the helm of sheer performance.

A few upgrades to the 2021 Chevy Camaro

The latest addition to the Camaro line is getting a few upgrades, to style, tech, and equipment. You’ll get a broader choice with a color palette, as new exterior colors are now available.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto device connectivity are now being offered with wireless capability, too. And according to the GM order guide, the Camaro SS 1LE variation will be available with a ten-speed automatic transmission, where it formerly was only offered with a six-speed manual.

While the price tags have yet to be officially released for the 2021 models, most are expecting the Camaro to still keep with its affordability trend. Some are suggesting base LS versions will again fall in that $25,000 to $26,000 range. Of course, the highest level configurations, like the ZL1 convertible, will likely be closer to $70,000.

Sure, there are some ridiculously impressive sports cars out there. And if you’re operating with an unlimited budget, you might not be so impressed with Chevy Camaro. But for the rest of those ready to buy, who may want a little muscle and a manageable car payment, it’s the Chevy Camaro you may want to drive first.
