The long-awaited 2021 Ford Bronco has arrived and is ready to go head-to-head with the 2020 Jeep Wrangler. Similar pricing and off-road performance will leave the two vehicles battling for consumer’s attention. The uncontested Jeep Wrangler is working on a 6.4-liter V8 that will blow the competition out of the water. Meanwhile, the demand for the all-new Bronco is expected to be high.

Despite the similarities, there is one thing that sets the 2020 Jeep Wrangler apart from the highly-anticipated Ford Bronco.

Configurations available for the 2020 Jeep Wrangler

The upgraded 2020 Jeep Wrangler has eight trim levels available to accent the classic design and impeccable performance of this one-of-a-kind all-terrain vehicle. There are five engine options, with the 3.6-liter V6 getting an astounding 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.

The two-door Sport trim has a starting price of $28,295 and comes with a six-speed manual transmission for this entry-level base model, according to MotorTrend. The Sport S is the perfect choice for those looking for everyday conveniences combined with off-road capabilities. The Black and Tan trim is similar but has a black body with a tan soft top and cloth interior. The Sport Altitude features an all-black interior and black 18-inch wheels that offset the traditional-looking hard body.

A premium soft top is standard in the Jeep Wrangler Willys trim level. Combined with the features found in the Sport S trim, this model includes 32-inch mud tires, heavy-duty shocks, and a powerful V6 engine.

The Sahara trim level is the most luxurious of the Jeep Wrangler options with shiny wheels, dual-zone climate control, and an attractive exterior. With a starting price of $40,140, the four-door Jeep has a hardtop option and includes an exclusive full-time four-wheel-drive system. The Sahara Altitude has 18-inch painted wheels with black interior and exterior accents.

Built for heavy-duty off-road driving conditions, the Rubicon has a customized 4×4 system. An electronic sway bar disconnect, wide axles, rock rails, and 33-inch tires complete this unbeatable package.

The High Altitude is the most expensive Jeep made with a sticker price closing in on $50,000. The high-end model offers an array of luxury features that includes a leather interior and 20-inch wheels for extreme driving conditions.

Configurations available for the Ford Bronco

The 2021 Ford Bronco is unveiling a limited First Edition in addition to six different trim levels. The base model, available in two or four-door, comes in seven unique colors, with an MSRP of $29,995. A 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four engine works in tandem with a standard seven-speed manual transmission. The all-new G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) driving modes are featured in this exceptional off-road vehicle.

A step up to the Big Bend trim offers additional driving modes, 17-inch aluminum wheels,  and more color choices. The Black Diamond has a starting price of $37,545 with stronger capabilities to meet the needs of off-road drivers. Overhead auxiliary switches, vinyl seats, and bash plates are some added benefits of this package.

The Outer Banks model focuses on luxury with heated seating, dual-zone climate control, and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The black hardtop roof in the Wildtrak trim sets it apart from other models with high-clearance suspension and an advanced four-wheel-drive system. The Badlands trim goes head-to-head with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and is considered to be the most capable in the Bronco line.

The limited First Edition is for drivers looking for a comfortable ride with all the bells and whistles. The sticker price is $60,800 for this top-of-the-line model, with only 3,500 vehicles being manufactured.

In comparison, the Jeep Wrangler offers more options, with eight trim levels as opposed to the seven that are available with the Ford Bronco. Different configurations and packages increase the choices for Wrangler to 13 trim level variations, allowing something unique for every driver.
