Since its release, the Kia Telluride has been popular. It’s stylish, and modern touches make the car stand out from the lineup of SUVs, and paired with it’s the reliability, it’s easy to see why the vehicle is a crowd favorite. The only thing we love more than a great SUV is an excellent SUV with some fun hidden features and compartments, and the 2020 Kia Telluride doesn’t disappoint.

The Kia Telluride’s hidden features

As we settle into our new cars we get used to all of the quirks and features, but it’s the hidden features and compartments that we find that keep us excited. While you’ll enjoy the Kia Telluride from the first test drive and every day after that, it has some secrets that will keep you intrigued and wanting to show off to all of your friends. Some of the features help to improve your driving experience or safety, but others are just convenient or luxury features.

Scrolling through the menus and options on the infotainment system and you can find that the Telluride has Doppler weather radar. This pairs well with the car’s various terrain and weather modes like rain mode or snow most. In the terrain modes, you can scroll through the dash and see how power is being distributed to each wheel.

More hidden features

We love finding hidden features or compartments in our cars, and the Kia Telluride is no exception. Some of the features aren’t hidden to owners but they are still surprising and unknown to most consumers. My favorite is the side-view mirror camera. Turning on your turn signal does a little bit more than show a blinking light. In fact, on your test drive, you might not suspect that using your turn signal will initiate the side-mirror camera and display your blind spot right on the dashboard.

While this next feature is less of a safety precaution and more of a luxury feature it’s still pretty neat. In the settings menu you can change the car’s interior ambient lighting. You can adjust the brightness, like you can in almost every other car with ambient lighting, but you can also chose from a variety of colors. Most owners wouldn’t find this feature unless the got curious enough to scroll through all of the settings in the menu.

There are more hidden menus, compartments, and features than you could read in one list. You can search on forums and YouTube if you want to see everything your Telluride has to offer, or if you’re more adventurous you can try to figure some of them out for yourself. Either way, the Kia Telluride continues to be one of the coolest SUVs on the market.
