The 2020 Nissan Titan Tops This List of Best Deals on New Trucks
I’m as tired of writing it as y’all are of reading it, but COVID has done quite a number on the car market across the board. Certain automakers saw record lows on new car models, while other specific models had massive spikes in sales. The used market has probably seen the most significant jump in sales, making the common advice, “Don’t buy a new car. It’ll depreciate too quickly” less and less accurate. Trucks have seen the largest uptick in sales and, as a result, lower inventory at dealerships. The 2020 Nissan Titan has been found to be the best deal in this list of best truck deals.
CarsDirect scoured the internet, car lots, and classifieds to see if there are any good deals left for new pick-ups. Before COVID, you could find zero percent financing deals with a little digging. Lately, those deals have become quite the rarity, but never fear, the fine folks at CarsDirect have our backs and sniffed out a few good financing deals on some great pickup trucks.
Best full-size: Nissan Titan
CarsDirect found that in the full-size truck category, the Nissan Titan had the best deal. Nissan is now offering zero-percent financing for 84 months. And if that wasn’t enough, Nissan added a $2,000 APR bonus.
This is not only a great deal on a truck specifically but one of the best APR deals across the board. The Titan is no slouch, either. Consumer Reports found that the 2020 Nissan Titan rated fairly well across the board for comfort, reliability, and performance. The fuel economy was the Titan’s only real weak spot.
CarsDirect notes that they prefer the Ram 1500, but the deals weren’t there to support the Ram on this list.
Runner up: Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Now, the Silverado might be hard to find at dealers right now, but that is, in part, due to the great deals that Chevy is offering. This month, Chevy added a 0.9 percent financing for 72 months plus up to $2,700 in down payment assistance. Before October, Chevrolet wasn’t offering any low financing deals whatsoever, according to CarsDirect.
CarsDirect goes on to report that the lease deals for the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado V6 4×2 Crew Cab has a $229 per month with only $1,949 down at signing. This is currently the best lease available for a truck, but it only lasts 24 months.
The G.O.A.T: Ford F-150
The Ford F-150 needs no help to sell. It is the most sold truck every year since forever. When we fly to Mars to build the colony, there will be a fleet of F-150s in tow, and you can bet on that. As of this month, Ford just offered zero percent APR for 60 months for the F-150 through November 3rd. CarsDirect says that just last month, the F-150 had 1.9 percent APR. This new deal is cutting $2,500 in interest.
The F-150 isn’t cheap. But, there may be better deals coming with the 2021 F-150 looming. The 2021 F-150 might have deals surrounding it as well as new deals offered on the 2020 stock (if there are any left.)
Best Midsize Truck: Chevy Colorado
This middling truck has been doing really well at dealerships. These more eco-friendly, smaller trucks have been going like hotcakes lately, making them very difficult to find. If you do come across a Chevy Colorado, like the Silverado, Chevy is offering 0.9 percent APR on the Colorado and up to $750 in down-payment assistance. It might be hard to find, but there are good reasons for it.
