The 2020 Porsche Cayenne Is Still a Top Rated Luxury SUV
It’s no secret that the Porsche Cayenne is one of my favorite SUVs, but it’s not just me. Many websites and influencers brag about the SUV’s luxury features, striking design, and surprising performance. They are reliable, comfortable, and are genuinely high quality inside and out with the modern features of the newest generation of Porsche, and all of the performance that lives up to the brand’s history. The 2020 Porsche Cayenne started the year at the top of many reviewer’s lists, but has it stayed there?
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne hasn’t let us down
When Consumer Reports first reviewed the new Porsche Cayenne they had a lot of good things to say. Driving this SUV isn’t like some of the more standard commuter options. The handling is surprisingly responsive and the adjustable suspension allows you to pick between a smooth, comfortable driving experience or a stiffer, more sporty one. The engine types and support vary between the different trim levels, providing a more reactive acceleration or a calmer one. The variety gives you the option between a daily family vehicle or a practical vehicle for drivers who don’t necessarily like SUVs.
The interior of the cabin is just as striking as the exterior. The cabin is well insulated for a quiet, peaceful ride, but that isn’t the only luxurious factor. The seats are wrapped in soft, high-quality leather, and they are well-padded to make your daily commute or long road trip even more comfortable. The back seats are surprisingly spacious, with enough head-room and leg-room to fit tall adults as well as children and car seats.
Recalls can’t stand in the way
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne has had a few recalls since its release, three to be exact. The three recalls affect the SUVs drivetrain, fuel system, and brake alert system. These do seem like some pretty major recalls but they didn’t affect all of the Cayenne models that were produced. On top of that Porsche has made a concerted effort to resolves the recalls as quickly and efficiently for customers as possible.
Regardless of these recalls it still holds its place as the top-rated luxury SUV on the Consumer Reports list. Besides the recalls, there is no reason to believe that this SUV will be unreliable and is designed to make driver and passenger safety a priority. The Porsche Cayenne will likely remain the top-rated luxury SUV for the year, and you only need one quick test drive to believe it for yourself.
