The 2021 Bentley Bentayga Is Even Better Than We Expected
Bentley cars aren’t for everyone, and in the past years, they have been viewed as an expensive, unobtainable luxury that perhaps isn’t always as modern as we would hope for the price. Luxury SUVs are becoming more and more popular, and while cars like the Porsche Cayenne are more popular, it doesn’t quite compare to the new 2021 Bentley Bentayga. Although Bentley isn’t done releasing all of their planned variations of the Bentayga, what they have shown us so far has been full of striking design and thoughtful updates.
The new Bentayga
With the declining demands for sedans, SUVs have become increasingly popular, and consequently so has the demand for added luxury. We’ve seen the sporty side of luxury SUVs with the Lamborghini Urus and the Aston Martin DBX, but the lineup doesn’t stop there, because the Bentley Bentayga has just as much to offer.
The premier 2021 Bentayga will feature a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that offers 542bhp and 568 lb-ft of torque, but the Bentley didn’t just stop there. We should be expecting a high-performance model with even more power and even a hybrid model for the 2021 model year.
Even as an SUV the Bentayga features iconic Bentley styling to make it recognizable, including the wide mesh grille paired with two sets of lights on either side. The front fascia is aggressive yet modern, and it does well to include the Bentley heritage into one stunning package.
A true luxury SUV
The interior of the Bentley Bentayga screams luxury in a way that only Bentley could. The seats are plush and comfortable, wrapped in soft-touch leather that makes them feel as nice as they look. Next year’s Bentayga has just as much style and luxury as previous years, but with major, well-needed updates to the dashboard and center console.
The front seats are spacious and the large front windshield sweeps upwards over the driver and passenger to make it even more open feeling. The back seats aren’t cramped either, with enough legroom and headspace to fit even your tallest friends or comfortably fit children’s car seats.
Front and center is a 10.9-inch touch-screen infotainment system that offers Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and wired Carplay. The infotainment system pairs with a rearview camera and a number of other high-tech safety features to enhance your driving experience.
The ride quality of the Bentayga is just as nice as the interior. The cabin is well insulated from road noise for a quiet, peaceful ride, while the suspension is just soft enough to absorb almost any bump or hole in the road.
The 2021 Bentley Bentayga isn’t necessarily in the price range of most new SUV shoppers, with the base model price estimated to start at just under $180,000 and going up for higher performance trims and the hybrid model. This isn’t un outlandish price in the world of high-end luxury SUVs, and for the right buyer, they are definitely worth the price.
