The 2021 Chevy Bolt EV is a subcompact hatchback that won’t ever require a stop at the pump. Instead, this Chevy runs on a powerful battery that enables it to go further than many of its competitors. The 2021 Chevy Bolt EV boasts a class-leading EPA-estimated range

The Chevy Bolt EV hasn’t always offered a class-leading EPA-estimated range. It wasn’t until last year’s model, the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV, that the Bolt EV added a 21-mile increase over previous model years. Nowadays, the Chevy Bolt EV boasts a remarkable EPA-estimated 259 miles of range on a full charge.

According to Kelley Blue Book, the Bolt EV’s 259 miles of range is technically the best in its class. However, following very closely behind it is the 2021 Hyundai Kona EV, which is only one mile short of the Bolt EV.  

Kelley Blue Book reports the Chevy Bolt EV is fun to drive

According to Kelley Blue Book, driving the 2021 Chevy Bolt EV is a kin to flipping on a light switch. Because there is no waiting for cylinders to fire or a turbocharger to kick in, Kelley Blue Book says you can hit the accelerator pedal of the Chevy Bolt EV for “instant punch and passing power.” That’s not all either. Kelley Blue Book added that the Chevy Bolt EV is “exceptionally quiet and smooth” too.

It comes standard with plenty of people-pleasing features

GM Authority reported not too long ago that the 2021 Chevy Bolt EV will feature a revised trim level structure. According to its reporting, the new trim level structure will forgo the base LT and Premier trims that have been offered since the Bolt EV’s launch. Instead, Chevy will replace the LT and Premier trims with an LT trim level that’s split into 1LT and 2LT equipment groups.

Don’t expect this change to mean that Chevy is making any compromises when it comes to standard features. Instead, Kelley Blue Book reports that standard features on this year’s model will include a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, and a programmable Teen Driver key. 

But how much will this EV cost you?

Chevy hasn’t announced final pricing for the 2021 Chevy Bolt EV just yet. Kelley Blue Book reports, however, that car shoppers can expect a base Chevy Bolt EV to cost them $36,500. Kelley Blue Book reports too that the Bolt EV is no longer eligible for a federal tax credit either, having already exceeded the 200,000-car sales limit. Depending on what state you live in, however, you may be eligible for certain tax credits.
