First of all, these reliability ratings are for predicted reliability. Longevity and durability for the 2021 model year are as yet unknown. What we do know is that there are plenty of older Chevy trucks still chugging along. Maintenance and care are key.
Is the Chevrolet Colorado a good truck?

The Colorado’s turbodiesel powertrain gets 20 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway and tows up to 7,700 pounds.
The four-cylinder configuration gets 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway and tows 3,500 pounds. The Chevy Colorado with a V6 engine gets 18/25 mpg city/highway and tows up to 7,000 pounds. While its base engine is nothing to write home about, the available V6 engine and turbodiesel powertrain are both worth-it additions. It also offers the off-road designated ZR2 model.
The Colorado loses a few points for its tight rear seats and low-quality cabin materials. However, it gains some back with its nice open cockpit in the front and simple infotainment. It’s still a good pickup truck despite its flaws.
Consumer Reports says “the world needs more small trucks”
Consumer Reports ranks the 2021 Chevy Colorado No. 5 out of seven compact pickup trucks. In fact, there are plenty of reasons to appreciate the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. It actually outsold both the Ford Ranger and the Jeep Gladiator last year, according to MotorBiscuit writer Peter Corn.

If you are looking for the size, refinement, and maneuverability of a smaller truck but want to have more power and brawn than a Honda Ridgeline, the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is a good pickup truck to test out.

According to owner reviews on Cars.com, the 2021 Chevy Colorado is a 5-star midsize pickup truck. It’s a little early on in the model year, but so far owners are happy with the comfort, style, value, reliability, and performance. People who buy this truck are happy with it. Despite some low blows from critics like Car and Driver, it’s still a good pickup truck.
