The 2021 Chevy Silverado HD sees some sweet new upgrades. This heavy-duty pickup now offers increased towing capacity, a maximum of 36,000 pounds on the Silverado 3500 HD. There’s also a new trailer tech package offering various camera angles to ensure safe towing. 

But the most interesting thing about the new Silverado HD is that Chevrolet listened to the 2020 model’s critics and created four special-edition models. Each one offers a cosmetic upgrade so your truck’s appearance can be as rugged as its performance.

Chevy Silverado HD Carhartt Special Edition

According to Chevrolet, this trim level gives your 2021 Silverado HD the Carhartt treatment. Found only on the LTZ trim, the Carhartt Special Edition includes a body-color grille and door handles, 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and black metallic paint with Carhartt pinstriping detailed on the body. And the doors bear the apparel brand’s iconic logo. 

On the inside, more Carhartt touches await. Find exclusive two-tone Jet Black and Carhartt Brown leather on the front and rear seats. The seating also boasts unique stitching and the Carhartt logo on the headrests. 

Silverado HD Midnight Edition

The Midnight Edition is the second cosmetic upgrade for the LT and the LTZ trims only. You’ll find this 2021 Chevy Silverado HD black from hood to tailgate. The grille bar, grille inserts, and skid plate match the all-black theme.

You can choose between two wheel options on the Midnight Edition. Standard 18-inch aluminum wheels come with mud-terrain tires, or upgrade to 20-inch black wheels. 

Z71 Sport Edition

For the LT and LTZ trims, the Z71 Sport Edition offers more cosmetic upgrades. With this package, the grille bars, bumpers, and door handles match the Silverado HD’s body paint. This edition also offers exclusive exterior paint colors, including Summit White, Red Hot, and Northsky Blue.

Chevrolet offers black accents on several extra parts. They include the mirror caps, skid plate, Silverado badging, and even the hood vent. This package has two wheel options as well. You can get 18-inch black wheels that come with mud-terrain tires. Or, if you want to go bigger, opt for the available 20-inch black wheels that come with all-terrain tires. 

Z71 Chrome Sport Edition

And the last special package for the Chevy Silverado HD is the Chrome Sport Edition. You get a body-color grille bar and bumper, along with an assist step. It’s available only in white or black on the LT and LTZ trims.

The Z71 Chrome Sport Edition also comes with 20-inch aluminum wheels that are either color-machined or polished. Plus, this pickup comes tricked out in chrome accents throughout. You’ll find them on the door handles, grille inserts, skid plate, and badging.
