Today, the all-new 2021 Dodge Challenger is taking the market by storm with capabilities double that of the original model. The retro styling is the only thing that is reminiscent of the early years of Dodge.

The current entry-level model comes with a V6 that offers 303 hp. The all-new SRT Super Stock trim carries a racing-ready V8 that puts out an astounding 807 of horsepower. The SRT Hellcat Redeye isn’t far behind, offering 797 hp with a top speed of 203 mph.

The super-fast 2021 Dodge Challenger doesn’t come cheap. The SRT Super Stock has an MSRP of $85,000. Although considerably higher in price than mainstream vehicles, it is still less than comparable options, such as the Jaguar F-Type SVR, that starts at $125,000.

The SRT Super Stock can accelerate 0 to 60 mph in 3.25 seconds, hitting a top speed of 168 mph with super-wide street-legal drag radial tires installed. All-aluminum 4-piston brake calipers help to alleviate some of the hardware’s weight on the Challenger. In comparison, the Jaguar can hit top speeds of 200 mph with its 575 hp supercharged V8 but may not warrant the extra $40,000 price tag.

AutoTrader found the Challenger to be big to drive with a poor line of sight. They also noted that the interior felt dull and wanted to see a convertible edition. What the experts at AutoTrader did like about the Dodge is the “glorious V8 engines” that allowed for a “luxurious highway ride.”

Impressed by the spacious back seat and large trunk area, they felt this speedster offered an “unmatched array of models and variations.” Test drivers said that “despite its intimidating looks, the 2021 Dodge Challenger can be surprisingly civilized to drive.”
