The 2021 Honda Accord Isn’t the Only Good Full-Size Sedan
The 2021 Honda Accord is one of the most obvious models on the market if you’re looking for a full-size sedan. This Honda is one of the most beloved and trusted models ever produced by the Japanese brand. However, the Honda Accord isn’t the only good full-size sedan.
With another 10Best award from Car and Driver after decades of recognition, the legendary Honda Accord holds its status as a good full-size sedan. Sedan choices dwindle as crossovers continue dominating the market. That said, there are still a handful of compelling models. In fact, the 2021 Hyundai Sonata, 2021 Toyota Camry, 2021 Toyota Avalon, and 2021 Nissan Maxima all share a competitive space with the 2021 Honda Accord.
The 2021 Toyota Camry and Avalon double down on the Accord
The Camry, Avalon, and Accord all have similar reputations. They are good full-size sedan options with historic reliability and comfort. The 2021 Honda Accord remains rooted in performance. The 2021 Toyota Avalon and Camry recently saw major updates that make them look sleeker and more sporty. Plus, they have new packages that give them an edge on the performance side of things. Additionally, Consumer Reports recommends all three of these models.
The 2021 Honda Accord is pretty much one of those cars that is always a buy you can understand. It’s practical and reliable––it’s a Honda. That said, the 2021 Toyota Camry and 2021 Toyota Avalon also represent cars that are just a good choice. You virtually can’t go wrong with any of these three. These are models that you will absolutely want to take a look at and test out if you are looking fora good full-size sedan.
The 2021 Hyundai Sonata is fierce competition for the 2021 Honda Accord
The Hyundai Sonata is actually one of my favorite vehicles I’ve driven in the last few months. It’s extremely plush and comfortable with an extensive list of standard and available features. The Honda Accord is a legend, sure. But the 2021 Hyundai Sonata could easily come out of the woodwork to dominate the Accord. Consumer Reports recommends the Sonata too.
Overall, it looks great, has plenty of options, and it boasts affordable pricing paired with an epic warranty. Like the 2021 Toyota Avalon, 2021 Toyota Camry, and 2021 Honda Accord, the 2021 Hyundai Sonata offers options such as a hybrid powertrain. The Sonata brings a lot to the table, proving that the Accord isn’t the only good full-size sedan.
The 2021 Nissan Maxima is a worthy opponent
The 2021 Nissan Maxima is one more good full-size sedan for our list. It’s another one to check out if you find yourself looking at new cars and want to explore other options that are comparable to the 2021 Honda Accord. The 2021 Nissan Maxima is another sedan in the class that earned a recommendation from Consumer Reports.
Although Consumer Reports had some negatives in its review of the 2021 Nissan Maxima, it’s still one of those full-size sedan options that is likely just right for someone. In fact, the Maxima caught Car and Driver‘s attention. The C/D review praises the 2021 Nissan Maxima for its athleticism and “punchy V-6 power.”
Choosing the right full-size sedan
If you are shopping for a car, it’s always wise to look at several models before choosing which one they buy. The 2021 Honda Accord is fantastic. But there are others worth looking at as well. The 2021 Toyota Camry and the 2021 Toyota Avalon are popular models with plenty of options.
Then, the 2021 Hyundai Sonata and the 2021 Nissan Maxima are also good full-size sedans. Ultimately, it’s best to go with the car you feel you’ll be most happy and comfortable in day to day. Pricing, warranty coverage, and powertrain options will all come into play in your decision. Keeping your options open and trying several models is ideal. At the end of the day, the 2021 Honda Accord isn’t the only good full-size sedan.
