Don’t pass on the 2021 Honda Ridgeline just yet. It turns out the Honda Ridgeline may deserve a little more respect than it actually gets. Despite having a unibody suspension, the Ridgeline is still a great truck and even has positive features because of it.

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline is underrated

First of all, check out the new face on the Honda Ridgeline. It received a slight refresh for 2021 and looks great. You can get started in a Honda Ridgeline for about $33,900. This is an estimate based on the MSRP of the 2020 model. With the slight refresh, the price could increase a little.

The new design includes all-new sheet metal, updated LED headlights, a new front bumper, and a protruding underbody skid plate. There are also more aggressive-looking 18-inch wheels for each model and a new, more intelligent all-wheel drive system.

Alone with a much needed physical volume knob on the infotainment system, the display screen now has sharper graphics. Also, new contrast stitching and accents provide a more modern look inside the cab too. Plus, check out its underrated features.

1. The Ridgeline has a cool truck bed

You can upgrade the truck bed of the 2021 Honda Ridgeline to be pretty cool and convenient. For example, the dual-action tailgate can open to the side or straight down to provide easy access to the cargo floor.

It also provides easy access to the in-bed trunk. It provides an extra 7.3 cubic feet of storage along with access to the spare tire and jack. The trunk is lockable to protect your gear and is water-resistant with a plug. Meaning you can use it as a cooler or store wet, muddy gear in it.

Plus, there is an optional truck bed audio system that connects via Bluetooth. With six exciters in the truck bed, it sounds great. The available 150W/400W truck bed outlet can also power tailgating devices. This truck bed brings the party for camping and other activities.

2. It’s incredibly comfortable

The Honda Ridgeline provides comfort for drives and passengers. The plush interior has comfortable front seats and a spacious rear seat for guests. Despite being a midsize truck, you can fit five adults in it.

According to The Car Connection, the 2021 Ridgeline has a good acceleration with a comfortable and controlled ride. The 9-speed automatic transmission makes use of its power to provide a smooth and swift ride with all-wheel drive.

The cabin is peacefully quiet, and it absorbs impacts from the road. It handles like a smaller SUV that’s nimble and easy to maneuver in tight areas. Plus, it does have pretty good off-roading capabilities to consider.

3. A lot comes standard

Sure, the Honda Ridgeline has a higher starting price than rivals. But it also includes a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. You don’t have to upgrade to a more potent option like you do with the Chevy Colorado.

Standard Honda Ridgeline features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and more.
