The 2021 Kia Sorento Is Surpassing Expectations

The 2021 Kia Sorento Is Coming!
In the past 18 years, since the Kia Sorento was introduced as a functional mid-sized SUV in 2002, it’s had three generations. Now with the release of the fourth generation, we get to see some exciting upgrades.
As the first hybrid Sorento, this model will be the most advanced vehicle ever to come off the Kia line.
The hybrid engine will produce 277 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque to be a powerful electric SUV. There will also be an option gas-powered 2.5-liter engine that produces 210 horsepower and 310 lb-ft torque.
The Kia Sorento Redesign
The 2021 Kia Sorento will have a new exterior design to provide a modern look. It will have sleeker lines for a sharper, more confident look. But with the Sorento’s reputation for power and reliability, it shouldn’t be judged by the way it looks at all.
Although, the look suggests a sporty vehicle with elegance and class as the wider grill and new tiger eye line, LED headlights are introduced. Also, the Sorento borrowed an idea from the Telluride, with brake lights that wrap around the edges of the vehicle.
The body is crafted from a blend of steel and aluminum for a rigid design to keep passengers safe and a light body for more power.
This Kia also has shorter front and rear overhangs along with wheelbases that are 35mm longer creates more cabin space between the axles for a smoother ride.
To focus on more comfort, the Kia Sorento also has a new, fully independent suspension to absorb impact better. The new suspension is designed to reduce noise and vibration.
For off-roading capability, the Kia Sorento will be available in AWD. It also comes with a new Terrain mode that will enhance its abilities to perform in sand, mud, and snow.
Plus, 2021 Kia Sorentos will also be longer and more significant to create a bigger cabin. It’s adding more space to better compete with other SUVs that provide three rows of seating. Drivers and passengers will enjoy more legroom, even in the 3rd row, because the second row of seats can now move up 45mm farther.
To maintain it’s class and exceptional comfort, the interior will also be crafted with higher quality materials for a luxurious feel.
A 10” infotainment screen will be found in the dash with chrome accents that easy to use alone with a wireless phone charger at the base of the center console. This provides both advances in tech and a more immersive driving experience.
Plus, each row of seats has access to easy to reach USB chargers so all of your passengers can use their devices in peace.
When Can We Get The 2021 Kia Sorento?
Unfortunately, we do not have a release date for this upgraded Kia Sorento, so we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, we can consider the pros and cons of getting the hybrid or gas model alone with trying to decide between the five or seven-passenger versions.
