How much does the 2021 Nissan Armada cost?

There’s no beating around the bush here. This SUV is expensive. Priced just under $50,000 once you roll in its standard destination, there’s no denying that the 2021 Nissan Armada will cost you. Keep in mind too, that number gets you a rear-wheel drive Armada. For an Armada with all-wheel drive, you’re going to have to pony up an additional $3,000. As one would expect, the Armada’s base price only goes up from there too. At its most expensive, you can expect to spend a minimum of $67,900 on this year’s model.

These features come standard in the 2021 Nissan Armada

Fortunately, the 2021 Nissan Armada comes standard with plenty of features. Opt for the base model, and you can expect to find features like a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cloth seats, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system. For added creature comforts such as heated leatherette seats, roof rails, two additional speakers, wireless charging, and a trailer brake controller, you will have to step up to a higher, more expensive trim level.

As for standard safety features? The new Nissan Armada offers up plenty of them. Regardless of whether you opt for the base model or the range-topping Armada Platinum, the 2021 Armada comes standard with confidence-inspiring safety features like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and high beam assist.

How this year’s model stacks up to the competition

Now, there’s really no denying that the 2021 Nissan Armada is expensive. After all, $50,000 definitely isn’t chump change. So how does this year’s model stack up to the competition? First, let’s compare it to the Chevy Tahoe. While the Armada’s standard V8 boasts 400-hp to its name, the Tahoe’s standard engine is only able to manage 355-hp. The Chevy Tahoe can’t tow quite as much as this year’s Armada either.

But as it turns out, the 2021 Armada is kind of a beast when it comes to towing. None of its competitors are able to flex their muscles quite as much as this year’s model either. According to Nissan, this year’s Armada boasts a best-in-class standard towing capacity of 8,500-pounds, which is pretty impressive. That number also puts it ahead of competitors like Ford Expedition and the Toyota Sequoia.

Is the 2021 Nissan Armada overpriced?

If you’re after an SUV that offers a long list of standard features, safety features included, and that can tow a pretty impressive amount, then you really can’t go wrong with the 2021 Armada. And while its price tag may be pretty up there, there is a reason for it. After all, this year’s model has proven that it can outperform its competitors in more ways than one.
