The 2021 Nissan Frontier Finally Received Interior Upgrades
The 2021 Nissan Frontier finally got a few interior upgrades. These updates were needed as the Nissan Frontier is currently viewed as a pretty outdated truck. Hopefully, the new interior will make it worth the more expensive price.

There isn’t anything necessarily wrong with the interior of the 2020 Nissan Frontier, it’s just old. The Nissan Frontier hasn’t received much of an update since 2010. But the 2021 model is finally getting a total refresh.
In the 2020 model, you’ll find the basics. The plain cloth seats are fine, although they can be uncomfortable for longer drives. Also, the dashboard is simple. It works though with basic functions and can connect to iPhones and Androids just fine.
Spy shots of the 2021 Nissan Frontier reveal an updated steering wheel with a modern design and a larger infotainment center. It’s about 8 to 9-inches in size, which is much bigger than the current screen.
There are a lot of buttons on the dash, and it looks like the test model still had digital displays, but there is still hope for an LCD touch screen. A digital cluster display behind the steering wheel could be a possibility too.
Other than that, the interior looks a little more comfortable and modern with two-tone designs and the use of soft-touch leather materials. It doesn’t look cheap, and the white stitching adds pops of colors for contrast.
You can see more USB ports to charge multiple devices, plus buttons on the steering wheel indicate modern luxuries like heated or ventilated seats. There could be a heated steering wheel and new parking sensors too.
2021 Nissan Frontier Power
The 2021 Nissan Frontier will only come with one powertrain option. It will come equipped with the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine that is found in the Nissan Titan. This engine pumps out 310-hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. This is a bit more than the Chevy Colorado has to offer with its 308-hp engine.
In the 2021 model, the engine will be paired with an automatic 9-speed transmission. We expect a Nissan Frontier PRO-4X trim to surface with off-roading upgrades at some point. Also, the Frontier will be available with your choice of rear-wheel drive or 4×4.
More 2021 Nissan Frontier updates
The 2021 Nissan Frontier hasn’t been revealed yet. Only spy spots of the vehicle while it’s heavily covered in camouflage materials have surfaced so far. From those images, we can determine that the truck may look similar to the Nissan Titan.
It will have new LED headlights, and it looks like the rear window can slide open. It seems to have a more extensive, beefier look but remains a mid-size truck with a body-on-frame build. With sleeker lines, it could look like a mini Nissan Titan too.
The 2020 Nissan Frontier begins around $26,000, but it doesn’t have the interior upgrades that the 2021 model will have. Because the 2021 model will also start around $26,000, it may be worth waiting for. However, the end of the year is ticking closer, so when will the 2021 Nissan Frontier finally make its debut?
