The SV trim is a step above the base model, starting at $35,640, and next up is the SL, starting at $40,010. Finally, there’s the top-of-the-line Platinum, which comes in at $44,060.

What’s new for 2021?

Buyers will be happy to know that the entry-level Murano is safer than ever. Nissan made its Safety Shield 360 package standard equipment on the 2021 Murano. 

This suite of safety systems includes automatic rear braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, and high-beam assist. The vehicle previously only had a forward-collision warning system, automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness monitoring, and a rearview camera.

Meanwhile, shoppers will have the opportunity to take advantage of an all-new package, which is available on the SV trim and costs $2,530. The Special Edition Package replaces the old SV Premium Package. This setup includes 20-inch Dark Charcoal wheels, a dual-pane moonroof, heated synthetic leather seats, and a surround-view monitor.

The final changes are superficial but could make all the difference to buyers. Nissan added three new exterior color options to the 2021 Nissan Murano. These include Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Boulder Gray Pearl, and Magnetic Black Pearl.
