The 2021 Nissan Rogue offers more power under the hood

Standard under the hood of the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a 181-hp 2.5-liter engine. This engine is new to the Nissan Rogue, and according to MotorTrend, is an upgraded version of the Nissan Altima’s 2.5-liter engine. 

As for the 2021 Hyundai Tucson? Its base engine isn’t quite as powerful. While the Rogue comes standard with 181-hp under the hood, the Tucson comes driven by a standard 161-hp 2.0-liter engine. Like the Rogue, the Tucson is available with a 181-hp engine, but it will cost you.

Its interior makes for a pretty sweet space too

The 2021 Nissan Rogue has more to offer than plenty of power under the hood. According to Car and Driver, its interior is pretty impressive. It features plenty of storage cubbies, along with several rich-looking design elements that Car and Driver reports improve the interior’s usability while also giving it a more modern look. It certainly helps that this year’s new Nissan Rogue has lots of cargo space to offer too.

While the Rogue boasts an interior with a “modern flair,” the 2021 Hyundai Tucson’s interior is a tad more dated. According to Consumer Reports, though the Hyundai Tucson is well-assembled, its interior features quite a lot of plastic. Consumer Reports added that its center armrest lid is kind of flimsy, and its steering wheel feels relatively cheap too.

For the latest in tech features, choose the 2021 Nissan Rogue

It’s not just rich-looking design elements that give the 2021 Nissan Rogue the edge over its Hyundai competition either. According to Kelley Blue Book, this year’s Nissan Rogue offers more available tech features than the new Hyundai Tucson. Not only is the Rogue available with a larger infotainment screen than that of the Tucson’s, but it also offers available tech features like a head-up display and a WiFi hotspot. 

It may be more expensive, but it’s worth it

The one thing the 2021 Nissan Rogue doesn’t have going for it? Its price. Unfortunately, this year’s model is more expensive than the Hyundai Tucson. While the Tucson boasts a base price of $23,700, you can expect to spend at least $25,650 on this year’s Rogue. But is its higher price worth the spend? When you consider its more powerful base engine and tech-savvy interior, we certainly think so.

Is the Nissan Rogue a good SUV?

The new Nissan Rogue has a lot going for it. It’s spacious, stock full of tech features, and comes standard with a 181-hp engine. As for the 2021 Hyundai Tucson? It has plenty going for it too. Just not as much as the 2021 Nissan Rogue does.
