How reliable is the 2021 Nissan Titan?

Unfortunately for the 2021 Nissan Titan, reliability isn’t its strong suit. In fact, according to Consumer Reports, this year’s new model earned a two out of five predicted reliability rating, which is pretty disappointing. However, it did earn a slightly higher reliability rating from U.S. News & World Report, which gave it a three out of five predicted reliability rating. While that is about average, it’s definitely not great.

Reliability isn’t its only issue

But it’s not just reliability that the 2021 Nissan Titan struggles with. According to Consumer Reports, the 2021 Titan isn’t as easy to see out of as other full-sized trucks. Its side windows are small and the pickup’s windshield pillars are pretty thick at the bottom. Its tall, square hood also makes it difficult to tell where the front of the truck actually ends.

Seating accommodations aren’t all that great either. Consumer Reports says that some of its testers felt the Titan’s seats weren’t as supportive during long drives. Making things even worse? Even though its rear seat offers plenty of leg, knee, and headroom, Consumer Reports says that its flat seat really isn’t comfortable for adults. The seatback is too upright and the seat’s short bottom cushion provides barely any support.

The Nissan Titan is the largest pickup available from the Japanese manufacturer.

Does the 2021 Titan have anything going for it?

Fortunately, it’s not all bad news for the 2021 Nissan Titan. According to Car and Driver, this year’s model can be had with some pretty tech-savvy features. It’s standard with a slew of driver-assistance technology, including automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts. It’s also available with adaptive cruise control.

Its interior offers plenty of tech-centric features as well. All Titan models come standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen display that includes both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2021 Nissan Titan is also available with popular tech features like wireless charging, a mobile hotspot, a Fender premium audio system, and numerous charging ports.
