According to Torque News, the 2021 Ram 1500 could be the most loved truck in America. The IHS Markit just announced that the Ram 1500 won the Automotive Loyal Award for the fifth year in a row. That’s right, the Ram 1500 got a five-peat in the light-duty pickup segment.
Loyalty is determined when a household owns a vehicle returns to the market to purchase or lease a vehicle with the same make, model, or manufacturer. So, basically, the Ram 1500 keeps winning this award because owners keep buying new Ram 1500 models.
The awards are based on an analysis of 12.4 million new retail vehicle registration in the United States during 2020. The new vehicle may either replace or be an addition to the household fleet.
In 2018, light trucks accounted for 72-percent of 17 million vehicles that sold in the U.S., meaning about 12 million trucks were purchased, and consumers have been most loyal to Ram.
What is so great about the 2021 Ram 1500?
According to Edmunds, the Ram 1500 has been their top-rated light-duty pickup truck since the latest generation debuted in 2019. You can get started in the 2021 Ram 1500 for about $32,795. The is higher than the Ford F-150, but the Ram 1500 base model may come with more standard features.
