The 2021 Subaru Outback is a safe SUV
You can get started in 2021 Subaru Outback for about $27k. The 2021 model only has a price increase of $190 compared to the 2020 Subaru Outback, but it’s gaining so many standard features that make that $190 an incredible value. Also, there is a $40 increase in the destination fee, making it about $1,050.
If you can’t wait to get your hands on the new, safer 2021 Subaru Outback, expect it to hit dealerships by the fall of 2020. So, that’s exciting. You don’t have to wait much longer for this Subie upgrade. You might be able to get one by October to take your kids trick or treating in safely.
2021 Subaru Outback safety features
For 2021, the Subaru Outback is gaining new adaptive LED headlights to improve your vision while driving at night. The LED headlamps are also automatic, so don’t worry about remembering to turn them on, and they are steering responsive. This upgrade is following in the steps of Subaru Legacy, which is the three-row SUV.
Also, the Subaru Outback will now have seat belt reminders in the backseat. Instead of stressing and turning around to make sure your kids are buckled up, a beep will let you know if they aren’t.

The rear seat reminder will also remind you to check the rear seat of your Subaru Outback before exiting the vehicle. This will help not to forget essential items like sleeping infants or your laptop in the back.
Adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, are also new standard driver assistance features that will be included with the 2021 model.
The 2021 Subaru Outback is adding these safety features to better compete with the Hyundai Santa Fe, which includes drowsy driver monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert. So, the 2021 Subaru Outback still has catching up to do.
2021 Subaru Outback off-roading features
Unlike the Hyundai Santa Fe, the 2021 Subaru Outback includes standard off-roading features, including all-wheel-drive. It also includes an off-road driving mode and hill descent control, allowing you to tackle more challenges.
With a ground clearance of 8.7”, the Subaru Outback is a taller wagon than competitors, but still handles nicely like a car. It also rides on 17” wheels and comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower.
Optional upgrades include upping to the more powerful 2,4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine for 280 horsepower, keyless entity, a blind spot monitor, keyless entry, a sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, a driver attention monitor, a power liftgate, automatic reversing braking, and more.
The blind-spot monitor in the Hyundai Santa Fe automatically activates when you hit your turn signal, but we aren’t sure how well the system in the Subaru Outback works yet. Als, we can’t wait to learn more.
