The RAV4 Hybrid’s popularity is skyrocketing as eco-friendly vehicles are entertaining the mainstream. So, it’s no surprise that Toyota is dedicated to giving Hybrid shoppers more options than ever before.

Toyota just announced the all-new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium via a press release, and car buyers are excited about the additions it offers. This new model fits between the XLE and XSE trims, and it starts at an MSRP of $32,500.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium adds more than just a couple of bells and whistles. It includes desirable amenities that’ll pique your interest. Let’s investigate with a deep dive into this new edition of the beloved Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.

Everyone deserves to treat themselves, and the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium allows you to do so without breaking the bank.

Starting from the outside-in, it comes with 18-inch, five-spoke chrome-finished sport wheels. These add a much-needed stylish touch over the standard 17-inch wheels found on all the lower trims.

The XLE Premium also adds LED projector headlights with chrome bezels, automatic high beams, LED daytime running lights with accent lighting, and integrated fog lamps.

These upgrades are all nice touches, but the real value is found inside the SUV’s cabin. The seating upholstery is upgraded from fabric to synthetic leather, while the steering wheel is upgraded to genuine leather. Plus, the addition of a power moonroof provides a whole new perspective on every journey.

Drivers and passengers alike will enjoy the benefit of dual-zone climate control. However, the driver will be treated to a little extra comfort, gaining eight-way power-adjustable seats with lumbar support to the passenger’s four-way seat.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium also adds tech features galore. Upgrades include a 4.2-inch digital multi-information display, five USB ports, a power liftgate, and a smart key with push-button start.

Why should you get a 2021 RAV4 to begin with?

The market is flooded with hybrid vehicles – some good, some bad. So, where does the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid fit in this mess?

Well, U.S. News & World Report ranked the RAV4 Hybrid as its top Hybrid/Electric SUV for 2020. The publication has not yet released its 2021 rankings, but the 2021 RAV4 Hybrid should fare well once again. It offers a similar package to that of the previous year. However, the introduction of the value-packed XLE Premium trim and the RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid makes it an even fiercer contender.

The RAV4 Hybrid is quite capable. It is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that combine for a net 219 hp. Plus, it can tow up to 1,750 pounds. Meanwhile, this hybrid SUV achieves an EPA-estimated 40 MPG city/highway combined, which ranks near the top of its class.

Does the XLE Premium trim provide the most value?

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE Premium comes with most of the popular features drivers look for in a new car. The essential amenities it doesn’t have, such as heated seats and a digital rearview mirror, are available through optional packages.

After introducing this new trim, Toyota doesn’t really offer too many incentives to go with one of the pricier models. The XSE and the top-of-the-line Limited models don’t offer much more by way of features. In fact, most upgrades are cosmetic. The all-new XLE Premium is by far the best value in the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid lineup.
