The 2021 Toyota Tacoma Gains Two Fancy Editions
Toyota Tacoma fans rejoice! The information about the 2021 Toyota Tacoma has finally been revealed. We have model updates, pricing information, and more. Will you be excited, or is the 2021 Toyota Tacoma already a flop?!
Is the 2021 Toyota Tacoma a good truck?
Yes, the 2021 Toyota Tacoma is an excellent option to buy. The Tacoma is one of the longest-lasting trucks with a high resale value, so it’s not a risky investment. However, not much is new for the 2021 model, except for the Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition, and Nightshade Edition, so it might be worth it to go for a used Toyota Tacoma instead.
But the good news is that the Toyota Tacoma price isn’t going up. Each model only costs about $100 to $300 more. Also, if you want the Trail Edition, the price starts around $35,180 for 2×4 and $38,225 for the 4×4 model. These prices include the destination fee.
The 2021 Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition
The Trail Edition is based on the SR5 trim, which is the base model. It includes black badging on the exterior, the LIMITED grille, 16” TRD Pro off-roading wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, A 12-Volt outlet in the bed, and an in-bed storage bin. The Bin is lockable and insulated with a plug, so you can easily rinse it out.
You can get the Toyota Tacoma Trail Edition in 2×4 or 4×4 with your choice of the following paint colors:
- Army Green
- Cement
- Super White
- Midnight Black
The 2021 Toyota Tacoma Nightshade Edition
The Nightshade edition is based on the more expensive LIMITED trim option and includes an all-black leather interior with a, you guessed it, black exterior. Other darkened black features include a dark grille insert, darkened 18” smoke wheels, blackened exhaust tips, and fog light bezels.
The Nightshade editions start around $41,080 for the 2×4 model and costs about $44,155 for the 4×4 model. It’s also available in the following shades of paint:
- Windchill Pearl
- Midnight Black Metallic
- Magnetic Grey Metallic
2021 Toyota Tacoma updates
All V6 Toyota Tacoma models now come with dual-zone automatic air conditioning. The Sport and TRD Pro models get an updated audio system that allows the use of Toyota Remote Services.
All trim levels now come with the first aid kit and come standard with the Toyota Safety Sense suite. It includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic headlamps.
Depending on the trim you choose, you can pick a 5-foot short bed, 6-foot long bed, an extended Access cab, Double crew cab, four-cylinder engine, V6 engine, a six-speed manual transmission, automatic transmission, and a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain.
Also, the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is dropping the Army Green Paint color for the new Lunar Rock Shade that’s out of this world. The most significant changes to note include more standard safety features and the option of having a manual transmission on each model, allowing you to create the truck you want.
