A 3.6-liter V6 engine is standard under the hood of the 2021 Voyager. Generating a full 287-horsepower, the Voyager boasts slightly more power than the Honda Odyssey. A 9-speed automatic transmission is also standard. 

Unfortunately for the 2021 Voyager, front-wheel drive is the only configuration. For an all-wheel drive minivan, consider opting for the Toyota Sienna or the Chrysler Pacifica instead. 

According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2021 Voyager provides “plenty of thrust for merging onto freeways, passing maneuvers, and going for gaps in the traffic.” Overall, Kelley Blue Book says driving this year’s Voyager makes for a “smooth, quiet, and comfortable” ride.

Family-friendly features abound

This minivan was crafted with families in mind. With seating for seven, Kelley Blue Book claims the new Voyager “brings nicer accommodations to the second row and easier access to the third.” It also has plenty of space and storage to work with, along with Stow ’n Go seats that conveniently fold flat into the Voyager’s floor.

Opt for the base L trim, and standard features include heated side mirrors and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. For added features like remote start, ambient cabin lighting, satellite radio, and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system, Kelley Blue Book recommends choosing the Voyager LX.

How much does the 2021 Voyager cost?

For families on a budget and in need of a new minivan, the 2021 Voyager makes for a solid pick. According to Kelley Blue Book, the suggested retail price for the base model rounds out to approximately $28,730. The LX, on the other hand, starts at $31,540.

The 2021 Voyager’s modest price tag makes it among the lowest costing options in its segment. Closest in price to the Voyager is the 2021 Sedona, which rings in at $30,400. More costly options include the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna.

How does it stack up to the competition?

The 2021 Voyager has plenty of competitors to contend with. Among them are the Kia Sedona, Honda Odyssey, and the Toyota Sienna.

As mentioned before, the Kia Sedona is the closest in price to the Voyager. Unlike the Voyager, the 2021 Sedona comes standard with anti-pinch sliding rear doors. The Sedona can also be had with wireless charging for mobile devices. The new Voyager, unfortunately, doesn’t offer such a feature.
