How much does the 2022 Hyundai Tucson cost? 

You can get started in a 2022 Hyundai Tucson for about $24,950. This is for the base model, which is the SE. The 2021 Hyundai Tucson has an MSRP of about $23,700. So it only has a price increase of about $1,250.  

There are actually 15 trim levels available, according to Motor 1. The Hyundai Tucson Limited is one of the highest options and raises the price to about $36,100. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid begins at about $29,050, and the highest hybrid trim tops out at around $37,350.

Plus, there are two Hyundai Tucson N Line models. The base option begins at around $30,600 and has front-wheel drive. The N Line option with all-wheel drive starts at about $32,000. 

Remember that these prices are the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP). They are listed before destination fees, and dealership markups have been added. 

What’s new for the 2022 Tucson? 

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson packs in tons of value for only costing about $1,250 than the previous model. For example, it has a longer wheelbase. This could give it a smoother ride to improve its driving experience. Also, it has more cargo space. 

It now has 41.3-inches of legroom with the rear seats and up to 41.0 cubic feet of storage space. The Tucson now has more space than rivals like the Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue. Also, the Honda CR-V begins at about $25,350. 

An 8-inch touchscreen comes standard but can be upgraded to a larger 10.25-inch size. It comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, two phones can be connected to the system at the same time. 

The interior has been upgraded from drab to fab with shades of black or grey. You can have cloth or leather with soft-touch materials on high-touch areas. Plus, the optional 64-color ambient lighting package will brighten things up. 

Hyundai Tucson power 

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder base engine with 187 hp and 178 lb-ft of torque. It should get an EPA estimated 28 mpg combined, while the 2020 model gets about 25 mpg combined. 

The Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid has a 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that’s paired with a 44.2-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.49-kWh battery pack to provide an estimated 226 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. It comes with standard all-wheel-drive and should get an EPA estimated 36 mpg combined.

A plug-in hybrid model will be available with the same engine, but it will have a larger 13.8-kWh battery pack and 66.9-kW motor to provide an estimated 261 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. The 7.2-kW 240-volt charger will replenish the battery in two hours, and it will get an estimated 70 MPGe. 

Last but not least, the Hyundai Tuscon N Line is expected to receive the same 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that’s found in the Sonata N Line. It pumps out 290 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque.
