Traditionally, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer was a happy family vehicle. It was ready to take everyone, including the dog with a classic 1960’s name like Spot or Max. But the new 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Obsidian has a different feeling, as it shows the SUV’s dark side.

You can get a dark version of the new Jeep Wagoneer for about $100,995. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Obsidian adds dark hues and tinted accents to this luxury SUV. According to Motor Trend, obsidian is a glass-like volcanic rock that’s naturally black in color.
So, it’s the perfect term for an elegant ride that’s also hot and confident. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer cost current begins around $88,995, so the Obisidan trim does include a few extra goodies.
However, the Obsidian trim isn’t available with the Jeep Wagoneer. It’s only available with the Grand Wagoneer. Also, it comes with the standard 6.4-liter V8 engine that provides 471-hp and 455 lb-ft of torque and four-wheel drive.
What comes with the Jeep Grand Wagoneer Obsidian?
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Obsidian trim is known for being black but can be purchased in other colors aside from Diamond Black. You can also get it in White, Silver, and Gray. You don’t have to get in it Diamond Black for the stand-out features.
For example, the package adds black inserts, an Onyx Black grille, a roof rack, black badging, exterior mirrors, and window trim. The Obsidian Wagoneer also rides on 22-inch wheels, like the Grand Wagoneer Series II.
The interior includes a Dark Onyx chiseled metal aluminum dash with Piano black appliques. It has the class-exclusive 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display and the MX1375 Reference Entertainment System with 23 speakers too.
The Grand Wagoneer Series I starts around $86,995, the Series II has an MSRP of about $93,995, the Obsidian raises the bar to $98,995, and the Series III begins at about $103,995. So, the Obsidian is the third-highest trim option. While the Wagoneer family is expected to go on sale toward the middle of 2021, the Obsidian trim probably won’t be available until later.
What can the Jeep Grand Wagoneer do?
