The 2022 Rivian R1T is one of the most hyped-up vehicles soon to be released. The electric pickup truck on the verge of beginning deliveries, and it’s all anyone can talk about. Rivian reviews are overwhelmingly positive and the general consensus is that it will revolutionize the electric vehicle industry. So what is Rivian doing that has the automotive industry on the edge of their seats?

Rivian reviews are fantastic

MotorTrend calls the 2022 Rivian R1T “the most remarkable pickup we’ve ever driven.” They’re not alone. Rivian reviews are largely good. People can’t get enough of the Rivian’s speed, efficiency, and handling. The Rivian R1T is described as quick and nimble. It can go from 0 to 60 in just 3 seconds. Not bad for a pickup truck, and an electric one at that.

The Rivian R1T handles well and its engine is efficient, without the halting and hesitating that many other vehicles have. Its estimated range is 314 miles on a single charge. On top of that, MotorTrend says that the R1T “can tackle obstacles that might give the Jeep Wrangler pause.”

It also has a four-motor 4WD system and a skateboard platform. This means that the chassis has a base structure which holds the battery and motor. Not only does this cut down on manufacturing costs, it also keeps the center of gravity in the R1T lower.

The Rivian interior is “plush” and “supportive”

If you buy a 2022 Rivian R1T, you’re not just getting a high-performance electric vehicle, you’re also getting a pretty nice pickup truck as well. MotorTrend says that at first glance the Rivian interior is unassuming. It has a a 15.6” infotainment screen and a 12.3” digital instrument cluster, though its graphics are excellent.

It comes standard with a moonroof. The Rivian interior is also “plush” and the rear occupants even have their own screen. At the same time, the third row isn’t as spacious as it could be, and taller passengers may not enjoy sitting back there for an extended period of time.

Want to customize the vegan leather seats? You can do that, with three color combinations to choose from. The front seats are immensely comfortable, and also heated. You may not want to leave your truck, especially on a cold winter day.

Rivian stock valuation suggests some serious confidence in the company

In August 2021, Rivian filed to go public. What does this mean? Rivian could be a publicly traded company by the end of 2021.

Perhaps the biggest question is what will Rivian stock be worth? Rumors swirling around the internet suggest that the company will be valued at about $80 billion. A valuation that high means that Rivian will have to have very high production and few to no delays in order to be successful. And with the kinds of investors that have put their confidence (and money) into the company, like Ford and BlackRock, it’s just possible that Rivian might be able to do it.

The 2022 Rivian R1T will start at $67,500. Rivian is set to start delivering R1T trucks, followed by the seven-seater R1S . Of course, they’ll have to navigate the production delays that have been hitting major competitors like Tesla. Yet if they can do it, we may see the greatest electric pickup ever before we know it.
