The 2024 Nissan Ariya NISMO Flexes Crucial Performance Upgrades
Electric vehicles are ready to race. The Nissan Ariya is the latest option that’s ready to hit the track thanks to crucial upgrades. Don’t sleep on the 2024 Nissan Ariya NISMO, check out what it can do.
What comes with the 2024 Nissan Ariya NISMO?
The 2024 Nissan Ariya NISMO brings the heat with some extra muscle to take advantage of. The dual-motor setup with the larger 91-kWH battery generates 413 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. It has 24 extra ponies compared to other models with the larger battery pack.
The standard Ariya has a 66-kWh battery pack. It pumps out 326 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, which is an attractive amount of power for an entry-level EV.
The Aryia e-FORCE model with 326 hp and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.8 seconds, so it’s fair to expect the NISMO model to be much faster.
It has a top speed of 124 miles per hour. The NISMO model could have a higher speed, but the official specs haven’t been released.
Plus, the intelligent AWD system will optimize torque and power to enhance control and prevent slippage.
But the NISMO also has a 10% increase in peak motor output with unique acceleration tuning and an exclusive NISMO driving mode to maximize its responses. You can turn on the sound generator to feel like you’re in a Formula 3 race car.
The suspension was retuned to account for the extra power. It rides on a set of 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/45R20 tires.
It’s still 189.2 inches long, 74.8 inches wide, and 65.7 inches tall, but bodywork improves its look, improves its aerodynamics, and smooths out air better. The rear spoiler reduces drag and enhances downforce at higher speeds.
The interior is full of upscale, racing-inspired features such as leather-trimmed bucket seats, embroidered logos, brushed metal accents, and bright red accent stitching.
But there’s one massive drawback to consider. The Ariya NISMO will only be available in Japan! So, we don’t have the most exciting model in America and don’t get to enjoy the racing upgrades.
Nissan has no announcements regarding the Ariya NISMO in other markets. That kills any idea of this vehicle coming to America later.
