After much suspense, Audi has finally released their newest addition to their electric car lineup. A fresh face to compete with the Porsche Taycan, the Audi e-tron GT rivals its competitors toe-to-toe, from performance to luxury touches. So, we weren’t surprised to see an interior that shows off one thing that Audi does so well: luxury. As an electric car, there are a lot of expectations for the new Audi, and as the flagship electric sedan, it must balance between having a futuristically styled interior with looking and feeling as expensive as the car actually is.

The first debut

Although we have been teased with bits of information from the company and some spy shots, it was only time that we finally got to see the production-ready car — and we aren’t feeling too disappointed. Appearance-wise, it does well to rival the striking, sporty looks of the Porsche Taycan, another powerful electric sedan, and it looks just as good on the inside as it does on the outside.

Subtle luxury with a futuristic touch

For decades we have known luxury interiors to be clad in thick, soft leather, Alcantara, and wood paneling, but that isn’t always what comes to mind when we think of our idea of futuristic cars. Electric cars like Teslas have done well to create comfortable and futuristic interiors, but it just doesn’t feel the same to have such a modest and crisp interior in an Audi. That’s why mixing high-tech features in the Audi e-tron GT, like a large infotainment screen and customizable digital dashboard, pair well with the higher-end luxury features around the car to truly accentuate what we’ve come to expect from the brand.

A new future for the same brand

What is so special about the interior of the new Audi e-tron isn’t just that it’s beautiful or luxurious. Instead, the brand was able to mix together new style and futuristic touches with the same Audi flare that we recognize the brand for. Sitting down in the driver’s seat, you don’t have to see those four rings on the steering wheel to know that this car was built by Audi, and it connects such a futuristic car with the heritage and history of the brand in a way that makes Audi owners want to keep bragging about how much they love the brand.

The new Audi e-tron GT has finally debuted, and we can’t be happier with what the brand has done to produce such a stunning, yet faithful design that gives us all of the luxury we want while looking towards the future.
