The Audi TT is a classic coupe that shares strong family ties with the Volkswagen Beetle. Audi recently unveiled the new 2021 TT, and we are particularly excited about its new standard features. Here is what you can expect from this forthcoming model 

The 2021 TT gets an interior makeover 

Audi is known for designing the most luxurious car cabins in today’s market. The TT already boasted a gorgeous interior, but Audi decided to take it up a notch for 2021. The TT model line will now come standard with Audi’s signature S sport seats in Nappa leather. Audi also said that the interiors of the TT Coupe, TT Roadster, and TTS models will feature additional leather trimmings throughout their car cabins. 

Audi has also added more in-car electronic features across the 2021 TT model lineup. The carmaker’s superb infotainment system, known as MMI, now comes as standard equipment. Audi’s navigation system and a Bang & Olufsen sound system are now standard too. What’s also pretty cool is that the TT Roadster models will come with neck-level heating. 

Overall, the TT’s interior is a unique blend of elegance and simplicity. It features a clean design with practically no fuss. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit display replaces a traditional infotainment display and instrument cluster. This digital display allows the driver to access most controls just behind the steering wheel.

The TT lineup gets exterior updates too

For 2021, 19-inch wheels with summer tires are available as a standalone option on TT models. TTS models now come standard with 20-inch wheels and summer tires. There are also two new paint colors for the TT lineup: Chronos Grey and Navarra Blue. The TT can also be upgraded with Audi’s Black optic package, which now includes red brake calipers.

No changes to performance 

Audi has made the TT more about aesthetics and less about performance capability. That being said, there are no changes to the powertrain options available on the TT. Base TT models come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 228-horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. 

The TT’s standard engine is enjoyable, but it’s not as exciting as other sports cars in its class. TTS models come with the same standard engine, but it’s been tuned to create 288-horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Both the TT and TTS feature a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with Audi’s iconic Quattro all-wheel drive.

For the most available power on the TT, you will want to select the top-tier TT RS model. This high-performing model is known for its agile handling and splendid control. TT RS models are equipped with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine that generates 394 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque.

Pricing for the 2021 TTAudi hasn’t released full details on the starting price for the new TT models. The 2020 TT starts at $45,500. For 2021, we expect the starting price to rise for the TT lineup because of all the new standard features.
