Plentiful standard features on the 2015 Honda Accord

The base model includes Bluetooth for hands-free calling and texting, a USB port, and a built-in Pandora app. Higher trims have a dual-touchscreen, navigation, satellite radio, and the infotainment system is able to sync up with smartphone apps.

The 2015 Honda Accord is less accommodating in regard to safety features, but it does have a standard backup camera. Fancier models have blind spot cameras, forward collision warning, and lane-keeping assistance. This Honda Accord model is also very safe, with great crash test scores from the IIHS and NHTSA.

Fresh new interior

Honda Accords from the previous generation were known for having a cabin full of cheap materials and hard plastics. For 2015, most interior components have a better fit, and even the cheapest trim has soft-touch door panels and dashboards. The standard cloth seats are very roomy and comfortable, though Consumer Reports says that the leather chairs are more supportive. Both rows offer adult-friendly seating, though things can get tight if three people sit in the backseat.

The Honda Accord’s trunk grew with this latest redesign, gaining an extra cubic feet of space. Depending on the trim, your 2015 Honda Accord could also have a split-folding rear seat.

The 2015 Honda Accord’s perfect reliability

2015 was one of the best years for the Accord in terms of reliability. Consumer Reports gives it a perfect score with very few trouble spots. Drivers may experience a backup camera with a blank screen, or the camera may come loose from its housing.

Some drivers also had problems with the battery, but most 2015 Honda Accords have had this problem fixed due to a recall. All the car’s major components, like the engine and transmission, are expected to last for many years. It also has a high owner satisfaction rate of 83%.

Other affordable alternatives

If you can’t find any 2015 Honda Accords for sale in your area, consider the 2015 Subaru Legacy. Like the Honda Accord, it has plenty of space for all riders and a very upscale interior. The Subaru Legacy also comes with a lot of safety features and all-wheel drive for the base trim.

Every Subaru Legacy with the base engine also gets great gas mileage, averaging 29 mpg combined city/highway. The AWD 2015 Honda Accord returns the same numbers, but these cars might be slightly more expensive. Autotrader also praised this model for having a smooth, quiet drive.

Another one of the Honda Accord’s rivals is the 2015 Nissan Altima. The Altima is sportier than the Honda Accord and gets better gas mileage. However, Autotrader didn’t like the restrictive headroom in the second row or the performance of its power steering.

The 2015 Nissan Altima’s interior is just as comfortable as the Honda Accord’s. However, the 2015 Accord is more dependable than both the Nissan Altima and the Subaru Legacy.
