Luxury vehicle fans are in for a surprise, though. The top luxury brand is bound to be Tesla, right? Maybe Mercedes-Benz? BMW? Audi? Porsche?

U.S. News focuses on four common categories for its annual awards: cars, SUVs, trucks, and luxury vehicles. Then the publication’s reviewers determine the top brand in each category.
