After gathering a variety of information, Kelley Blue Book offers its opinions and ratings on used vehicles to help potential buyers make the right choice. It gives the used 2015 Ford-150 one of the highest used pickup truck ratings of them all, with an impressive KBB Expert Rating of 4.6 and a KBB Consumer Rating of 4.7. Not only does the 2015 F-150 offer “best-in-class towing and payload capacity, plus smaller displacement engines with impressive fuel economy,” but also a design filled with every modern amenity you’d need.

U.S. News ranks the 2015 Ford F-150 as first in 2015 full-size pickup trucks, with extraordinarily high ratings. Though it carries an overall score of 8.7 (out of 10), it scores exceptionally well in performance, safety, and critics’ opinions – earning scores of 9.0, 9.8, and 9.7.

Experts at Consumer Reports give the 2015 Ford F-150 a good overall owner satisfaction rating of four (out of five). When surveyed, 74% of owners said they would buy the same truck again, rating driving experience and styling as its best attributes. In the road test, Consumer Reports’ experts raved about how the redesigned F-150‘s “high-tech wizardry under the hood pay(s) off.”

Ford accomplishes impressive feats with the 2015 F-150

The 2015 F-150 marked the start of the 13th generation of Ford’s truck lineup, but it didn’t fall short in big changes. According to Auto Influence, this model year saw big changes in its design and weight. A brand-new aluminum body structure instead of steel helps the 2015 Ford F-150 lose “just shy of 750” pounds from the previous year.

This advancement helps the 2015 F-150 to be more fuel efficient without losing any power or capability. It’s also the starting point from which Ford has developed a completely “new design language for all Ford-branded vehicles.”

A newly-introduced V6 EcoBoost engine introduced with the 2015 model year helps improve fuel economy, but the 3.5-liter variant offered for the 2015 model year also sees improved fuel economy ratings. Additionally, Ford reached an important milestone for the 2015 year, becoming the first pickup truck in history to offer adaptive cruise control as an option.

The 2015 Ford F-150 received quite a few awards, like the Best Overall Truck Brand for 2015 and the Best Buy Award from Kelley Blue Book, as well as another Truck of the Year award from Motor Trend.

Newer features for a bargain price

Because the 2015 F-150 marked the start of a new generation for Ford, it increased production with plans of selling plenty of new F-150 trucks. Combine that with truck shoppers looking to upgrade to newer models and you’ll find plenty of that model year available on the used market. This large number of used F-150 vehicles on the market makes for more available choices for used truck shoppers but helps drive down prices as well.

U.S. News claims that prices of used 2015 Ford F-150s can “range from about $25,000 to around $42,000, and they vary depending on the vehicle’s features, mileage, condition, and location.” Consumer Reports’ experts give an even lower average price for a used 2015 F-150, stating you can find one for anywhere between $15,825 and $31,425. Compared to other brands like Chevrolet and Ram, however, long-term ownership costs are lower with used Ford pickups.
