The Kia Telluride is easily one of the most talked-about SUVs in the automotive world this year. It has received numerous awards and accolades for a range of successes. Owners are also pretty proud to brag about their new Tellurides, and we can’t blame them. With the third-row-seat practicality, sporty front end, and unique design, it is easy to see why so many owners love this new luxury-like vehicle, but the complaints won’t surprise you, either.

One small complaint

If you check out popular review websites like Consumer Reports, you’d be hard-pressed to find any significant complaints about the Kia Telluride. After even a quick test drive, you will probably discover the small problem also, and it has to do with the car’s lack of agility. It’s true; the Telluride isn’t exactly the most agile car on the road. It can handle corners and turns at slow speeds just fine, but otherwise, the car feels just as heavy as it looks.

A handful of recalls

One could argue that the recalls currently active for the Kia Telluride are another reason to steer clear, but they really aren’t as bad as they might sound. Regardless of any recalls, it isn’t really that much of a concern. Recall work is handled by the manufacturer and their verified dealerships, free of cost to owners. It’s also important to remember that not all of the recalls in a model year don’t apply to every car, usually just to several batches, meaning not every 2020 Kia Telluride will have recalls that apply.

We still love the Kia Telluride

When it comes to driving a full-size SUV with three rows of seating, we don’t exactly expect it to have agile handling. If that is the biggest complaint that people have to make about the vehicle, we can’t say that we are too concerned. After all, it’s far from a race car or sporty hot hatch, and as a massive, very capable, and very practical SUV, chances are you aren’t looking for the most agile vehicle on the market.

For being such a large vehicle, it probably didn’t surprise you to hear that the Kia Telluride isn’t an agile car. In fact, we don’t expect it to be agile at all, almost making the complaint invaluable. Regardless, if the biggest problem that owners have with the Kia Telluride, it won’t really deter us from buying one.
