The Chevy BET Electric Truck Could Be Here Soon
Everything is going electric. Even Chevrolet is jumping on this trend by confirming their electric pickup truck. The upcoming Chevy pickup truck will be a full-size variety that’s ready to take on the Ford F-150 Hybrid, the Tesla Cybertruck, and more.
The Chevy Pickup is going electric
General Motors just released a sustainability report that outlines GM’s stance on key issues such as safety, sustainability, health, inclusion, and more.
Part of the report also provided vital details about the new Chevrolet BET truck, which will be a full-size electric Chevy pickup truck. It will also be the first full-size electric pickup truck produced by GM.

This pickup truck will be one of the 23 electric vehicles that GM is planning to produce by 2023. With a vision of zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion, GM debuted its new Ultium battery technology to make this goal possible.
The Chevy BET Electric pickup truck
While we don’t know much about the Chevy BET yet, we could see it by the fall. GM CEO, Mary Barra, said we would see a new electric pickup by the end of 2021. However, she could have been referring to the Hummer EV.
Also, we know that GM released a new electric platform with a target range of 400 miles or more on a single charge. We can also look for the GMC Electric Hummer for more clues about the full-size pickup truck.
The Hummer EV will have 1,000 horsepower performance, 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. That’s incredibly fast for a large SUV. The Mustang Mach E is a sports car that has a similar pick up speed.
Also, the GMC Hummer EV will have a truck version, which Mary was probably referring to, and an SUV equipped with off-roading equipment to go anywhere. So, the Chevy BET will be powerful and capable.
With the success of the Chevy Bolt EUV that features a distinctive design inspired by the Chevy Blazer, we can also expect to see new modern features, like Super Cruiser driver assistance. The Chevy Bolt EUV will be the first model to feature this option aside from the Cadillac Lyriq SUV.
When will we learn more about the Chevy BET?
Hopefully, we will learn more about the Chevy BET electric truck soon, but the news could be distant as GM is planning to provide these vehicles by 2023. Along with a full-size pickup truck, we can expect a midsize crossover, a full-size luxury SUV with three rows, and more.
The new EV platform that GM created will be able to meet a variety of needs. From work trucks to family luxury vehicles, sporty crossovers, and more. Among these various vehicles, we hope to see some price friendly options. The Tesla Cybertruck will start under $40k, but $39k is still pretty expensive for a truck. Also, there is no word about how much the Electric Ford F-150 that is coming in 2022 will cost yet.
