Fans of the 2021 Ford Bronco wanted a critical feature added to the Sasquatch package, and now they are getting it. We hope you didn’t order your Ford Bronco Sasquatch yet, because soon it will be available with the manual transmission. 

The Ford Bronco Sasquatch package adds the manual transmission 

When the new Ford Bronco made its debut, people went nuts and excitedly ordered their favorite versions of the SUV that finally came back from the grave. However, some buyers were upset that the Sasquatch off-roading package wasn’t available with the manual transmission. 

This is because a manual transmission is better for off-roading. It provides better control from crawling over obstacles and is more fuel-efficient. Plus, the new 7-speed manual Ford Bronco option includes a rock crawling gear. 

After some complaints, people signing a petition, and more, Ford has folded. Now you can pair any trim and body style with the seven-speed manual transmission as long as its with the 2.3-liter engine. This will provide Bronco fans with even more customization. However, the 2.7-liter engine is the stronger option.

But there is one slight hiccup. According to AutoBlog, you may have to wait for your manual sasquatch. With the 18-month waiting list to order a Ford Bronco, this isn’t much of a surprise.

What’s in the Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package? 

The Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package will be available in the Spring of 2021 and includes 35-inch tires with 17-inch Beadlock capable wheels, Bilstein position-sensitive monotube shocks, front and rear locking differentials, a 4.7:1 final drive ratio, and high-clearance fender flares. 

You can add the Sasquatch Package on the base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, and Badlands trim models. It comes standard on the Wildtrack edition. It comes standard on the First Edition Bronco too, but that model is already sold out. 

Also, ordering the Sasquatch Package now might be a gamble because the pricing for it hasn’t been released. According to Motor1, rumors suggest that the package could tack on $5,000 on most trims. Perhaps adding it to the Ford Bronco Badlands would only cost about $2,500. 

The same rumors suggest that the automatic gearbox could cost $1,600 with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine or $3,500 for the 2.7-liter V6. But unfortunately, we will have to wait for Ford to confirm this information. 

Which 2021 Ford Bronco trim is best for off-roading? 

The 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands is touted as the baddest off-roading option available. However, it doesn’t come with the Sasquatch Package. This is an odd decision by Ford. There should be a Bronco with all the off-roading bells and whistles included like the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. 

Anyways, the Ford Bronco Badlands comes with an exclusive suspension with a hydraulic sway-bar disconnect. It sits on 17-inch gray-painted machine-face aluminum wheels and 33-inch all-terrain tires. 

It also gets the addition of the Rock Crawl mode, which isn’t included with the Wildtrak trim. On the inside, you’ll find upfitter switches, vinyl seats, and washable floors. On the exterior, you’ll see a heavy-duty front bumper and steel rear bumper to add to its off-roading prowess.
