We’re ready to see why GMC is calling it the world’s first super truck. According to AutoBlog, the Hummer EV boasts having over 1,000 hp, 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and should be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. So, it should have a lot of towing power.
To compete with rivals such as the Tesla Cyber Truck and Rivian R1t, the Hummer EV will need a towing capacity between 7,00 to 11,000 lb. However, the 2021 Ford F-150, which still drinks gasoline, can tow up to 14,000 lb. Also, the Hummer EV will need to carry a payload of between 1,500 to 3,500 lb.
The Hummer EV SUT will ride on the third-generation EV platform. It will have an 800-volt architecture with a 350-kWh fast charging capability, according to CarandDriver. This potentially indicates that the Hummer EV could have a driving range of up to 400 miles, which is pretty great.
What features does the 2022 Hummer EV have?
